Over het algemeen zijn draadloze verbindingen van de computer betrouwbaar. Niets is echter perfect en soms heb je geen verbinding of alleen een zwak signaal. Er zijn veel factoren, die de betrouwbaarheid van de draadloze verbinding beďnvloeden.
Bijvoorbeeld als je draadloze adapter te dicht bij een 2.4 GHz draadloos telefoontoestel staat, zul je een vermindering in het sterktesignaal van de draadloze verbinding van de computer merken. Waarom? Omdat de telefoon en de computer op dezelfde frequentie uitzenden en daardoor de werking wederzijds verstoren.
Handige Reparatie Checklist voor Draadloze Storingen :
1. Controleer eerst of de kabel of DSL goed werkt. Meestal zit deze in de kelder, de meeste modems hebben vier lampjes. Je hebt live internet verbinding als het “data” of “status” lampje brandt. Als het uit is, of knippert, heb je geen verbinding.
2. Als de kabel/DSL goed werkt, start dan de computer nog een keer op. Soms als de kabel/DSL er maar 10 seconden uit ligt, kunnen de computer en de draadloze router niet meer met elkaar communiceren. Bij het opnieuw opstarten van de computer krijg je een nieuw IP adres toebedeeld, dat ze in staat stelt weer te communiceren.
3. Als je desktop draadloos is en je de draadloze adapter (het doosje met de antennes, dat naast de computer zit) hebt verwijderd, kun je de adapter verwijderen tot je een sterker signaal vind.
